Krakow am See

Krakow on the Lake - this little paradise is located in an extremely charming area of the Mecklenburg Lake District, between Müritz and the Baltic Sea, directly on the shore of the 18 km² large Krakow Lake.

The second oldest climatic health resort offers the best conditions for a relaxing stay, not only because of its direct lake location and healthy climate, but also because of the interaction of three nature parks and a large number of nature and landscape conservation areas, which can be found as hills, forests and countless lakes. The 18-hectare spa forest is located northeast of the city, on the peninsulas of Jörnberg, Emkwerder and Lehmwerder - a tongue of land that extends far out into the Krakow Binnensee. The raven KASimir is the mascot of the Krakow spa forest and together with his guests he discovers the area worth seeing. A highlight of the spa forest is the Kneipp trail in the lake for active recreation and therapy. Treading water is an extremely effective treatment. The cold stimulus of the water triggers positive reactions in the body. The blood vessels in the legs constrict and dilate again, which promotes blood circulation throughout the body and stimulates the circulation and metabolism. Regular use strengthens the immune system. Complaints such as migraines, varicose veins and sleep disorders can be alleviated. Treading water should not be used in cases of low blood pressure, bladder and kidney problems or arterial circulatory disorders.

The dreamy old town on the immediately picturesque lake promenade with the thatched fishermen's hut in the historic fishing yard, the various maritime adventure offers with passenger boat trips, raft trips, swimming in the "Historical Bathing Establishment" and numerous natural bathing places with the best water quality as well as the kilometre-long cycle paths with breathtaking lake views are endearing reasons for a long spa tradition. If you want to discover Krakow by the lake from a different perspective, climb the 126 steps of the observation tower on the Jörnberg peninsula.

The variety of leisure and cultural offers, hospitable accommodation in all categories, four-star campsite on the northern shore of the lake and ideal accessibility combine relaxed holidays with a tangible distance from everyday life.
