Sylvia Hagen's sculptures are not smooth and pleasing. Instead: rough, jagged, broken up; here something pushes, there something gives way. Vulnerability and soreness in the world, then again strength and energy, a turning and pushing, closing and restarting. Sylvia Hagen was honored with the Brandenburg Art Prize for her life's work. Hans Vent passed away in 2018. Paintings and drawings from his rich estate can be seen, which deal with figures, people on the beach, reclining, playing, bathing...
