The historic tile pottery on the Teschenberg was built 120 years ago. From 1905, kiln tiles were formed and fired here, later the premises were used as a storage room. After reunification, it was the ceramics designer Franz Poppe from Waren who campaigned to preserve the building as a museum. For over 20 years, this technical monument, which is unique in Mecklenburg, has been open to the public and tells the story of the world of tiled stoves.
