The clinic with 236 beds is approved by the German Pension Insurance as well as the statutory and private health insurances for outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, follow-up treatments (AHB) as well as medical-occupationally oriented rehabilitation measures (MBOR). The rehabilitation clinic seaside resort Ahlbeck combines the existing conditions of sea, beach and a lot of peace with a modern rehabilitation treatment. Here, an individual and interdisciplinary treatment concept is realized in a modern and pleasant environment.

The rehabilitation clinic seaside resort Ahlbeck is a specialized clinic for orthopedics, pneumology, post-covid as well as MBOR (medical-occupationally oriented rehabilitation).

Treatment indications of orthopedics are:

Diseases of the spinal column including the associated tendon-muscle-ligamentous apparatus
Intervertebral disc diseases and condition after intervertebral disc surgery, conservatively treatable intervertebral disc diseases
Non-infectious inflammatory diseases of the joints and spine
Degenerative changes of the joints
Early functional treatment after endoprosthetic treatment
Surgical interventions on the musculoskeletal system (fractures, dislocations, meniscus operations, ligamentoplasties, etc.)
Rehabilitation after amputations including prosthesis training
Pain and functional limitations as a result of contractures, faulty statics and muscular diseases
enthesopathies and other pain syndromes of muscles, ligaments and fasciae
Treatment of pathological disorders of tendon insertion points close to joints

Taking into account the special circumstances of a Covid 19 disease, including the scientifically proven findings to date, we have further developed our treatment concept and have been offering post-Covid rehabilitation since May 2020.

Medical-occupationally oriented rehabilitation (MBOR) is a supplement to medical rehabilitation. Here, the focus of the entire rehabilitation process is even more strongly on the occupation or workplace.

Service and specialities + –

We offer our rehabilitation patients a pick-up and drop-off service to and from Seebad Ahlbeck railway station.

Accompanying persons are welcome in our clinic after prior registration.

Numerous leisure activities are available to you during your stay. We draw up a weekly leisure plan with varied offers inside and outside the clinic. These include creative sessions such as handicrafts, evening events, dancing, skate evenings, hikes, bicycle tours, bus trips to neighbouring Swinemünde or to the neighbouring island of Rügen. The island of Usedom can also be explored during leisure time in guided tours.

Furthermore, the rehabilitation patients have the possibility to borrow bicycles (for a fee), Nordic walking sticks, badminton rackets or games in our clinic.

Special quality features + –

In order to continuously improve its medical rehabilitation services, the Seebad Ahlbeck Rehabilitation Clinic participates in the rehabilitation quality assurance (QA) procedure of the German Pension Insurance. This procedure includes components for the regular examination of structural, process and result quality.

In addition, a structured internal quality management system was introduced at the Seebad Ahlbeck rehabilitation clinic as early as 2007. This quality management system is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 as well as QMS-Reha 3.1 and is regularly audited by an independent institute.

The Seebad Ahlbeck Rehabilitation Clinic thus meets all the requirements of the Federal Working Group for Rehabilitation (BAR) for internal quality management in accordance with § 37 Para. 3 SGB IX.

Boarding + –

We have divided the breakfast and evening buffet into whole food and vital food sections. At lunch, our rehabilitation patients can choose between three menus (whole food, vital food and vegetarian), unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor. Any food intolerances are taken into account. Our dieticians and diabetes assistants are available to advise rehabilitation patients on any questions they may have.
