Children's and youth centre at the Müritz Clinic
The Centre for Paediatric and Adolescent Rehabilitation specialises in the treatment of children and adolescents with kidney disease and after organ transplants (kidney and liver).

The Müritz Clinic in Klink is authorised by the DRV Nord in accordance with § 38 SGB IX for the inpatient rehabilitation treatment of children and adolescents. This makes the Müritz Clinic the only rehabilitation facility in the German-speaking region that is authorised by the German Pension Insurance for the treatment of children and adolescents with kidney disease and organ transplants. Another focus is the treatment of children and adolescents with constitutional and functional disorders of the kidneys and urinary tract, for which the German Pension Insurance has also granted authorisation. There is also a corresponding care contract with all health insurance funds in accordance with Section 111 (2) SGB V.
Care is provided by an interdisciplinary team according to the latest medical findings. Physiotherapy, sports, ergotherapy, nutritional, socio-legal and psychological therapy units are individually tailored to the needs of the young patients through an intensive admission consultation.
The concept of family-orientated rehabilitation (FOR) is also taken into account by including parents and siblings in the treatment in order to balance out the physical and mental stress. This promotes and strengthens the family bond.
The exposed location, directly on Germany's largest inland lake, the Müritz, leaves plenty of room for recreation and relaxation from everyday life and offers a wide range of opportunities for individual leisure activities. In summer, we offer pedal boats and SUPs for hire on the beach. The hiking trail around the Müritz leads directly past the beach. The Müritz National Park, which offers wonderful interactive tours, is in the immediate vicinity.
