Stella Maris health resort Kühlungsborn
The Stella Maris spa clinic is a recognised facility of the Mothers' Convalescence Association. Located directly on the Baltic Sea in Kühlungsborn, mothers and their children can receive preventative treatment for psychosomatic stress disorders, skin and respiratory diseases, as well as rehabilitation medicine.
The Stella Maris spa clinic accepts mothers and children for inpatient preventive measures according to §24 SGB V, in accordance with the care contract according to § 111a SGB V.
Kühlungsborn is the largest Baltic seaside resort in Mecklenburg. It is located between the Hanseatic cities of Wismar and Rostock and borders a 5 kilometre long, gently sloping sandy beach on the sea side. The town itself is surrounded by a 130-hectare municipal forest. Moderate, constantly light winds, which mainly come from the seaward side, are enriched with salts and moisture. This aerosol-rich, low-allergen air has an extremely favourable therapeutic effect on respiratory and skin diseases.
The spa clinic is located on the beach promenade, in the immediate vicinity of the pier on the Baltic Sea beach and the Catholic church. It is a recognised facility of the Mothers‘ Convalescence Association and works in association with the Catholic Working Group for Mothers’ Convalescence.
